Haligtree Secret Medallion Left Location And How To Get It

Unlocking the shrouded regions of Elden Ring requires players to track down unique key items across the Lands Between. Among these crucial items is the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left), an essential component for accessing late-game optional areas like the Consecrated Snowfield. Understanding where to find this key item and how to overcome the challenges in your path is vital for every Tarnished seeking the ultimate endgame content.
Reaching Castle Sol in the Mountaintops
The Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left) is situated at the northernmost point of the Mountaintops of the Giants inside Castle Sol. To reach this formidable fortress, players must first gain access to the eastern region of the map by advancing through the main storyline. Navigating through the harsh snows past a patrolling Walking Mausoleum leads directly to the castle main gates.
Preparing thoroughly before stepping into Castle Sol is highly recommended due to its dangerous inhabitants. Aggressive spectral knights and nimble phantom enemies guard the courtyards and ramparts. Securing nearby Sites of Grace allows Tarnished to rest and plan their approach through the dangerous stronghold.
Defeating Commander Niall
The primary barrier standing between players and the secret medallion half is Commander Niall, the boss of Castle Sol. Commander Niall summons two dangerous knight spirit companions at the start of the battle, making target prioritization essential. Defeating his dual-sword knight first helps reduce incoming pressure while maintaining distance from Niall's sweeping attacks.
Once his summons are vanquished, Commander Niall enters a secondary phase filled with powerful frost and lightning area-of-effect attacks. Utilizing spirit ashes or cooperating with fellow players can significantly balance the encounter's difficulty. Patient dodging and capitalizing on his post-attack recovery windows remain the most reliable strategies for victory.
Claiming the Medallion Half
After defeating Commander Niall, a new Site of Grace appears in the center of the boss arena. Proceed through the doorway at the back of the arena to find an elevator inside the keep. Riding this lift up leads directly to the highest tower of Castle Sol, where a kneeling ghost resides on the roof.
Interacting with the glowing item beside the spirit grants you the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left). With this piece safely in your inventory, you are now halfway toward unlocking the secret path to the Haligtree. Ensure you also acquire the right half from Old Albus in Liurnia of the Lakes if you have not done so already.
Using the Medallion at the Grand Lift of Rold
Once both halves of the medallion are acquired, travel back to the Grand Lift of Rold located at the edge of the Forbidden Lands. Upon standing on the lift platform, players will receive a contextual action prompt to interact with the mechanism. By toggling the action command using the direction pad, select the option to hoist the secret medallion instead of the standard one.
A unique cutscene will trigger, transporting your character to the Hidden Path to the Haligtree. Traversing through this subterranean zone eventually opens up into the foggy expanses of the Consecrated Snowfield. From here, players can journey further north toward Ordina and ultimately challenge Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
